I do not know about Shootout, but the movie
Chartroose Caboose was a musical built around a caboose given to a retired conductor. A new admin told every engineer to bring in equipment along the line to scrap. Fun little romp as I recall.
It was lost "Due to a fire in one of Universal Studio's film vaults that destroyed both the negative and prints of this film, it is considered a lost film." Supposedly a collector has a B/W copy and there is a 2 minute color trailer.
Would colorizing a B/W copy that was originally a color film be considered good or bad. I recall arguments about Ted Turner's Colorizing some B&W classics.
