Hey! I mean none of my comments to be anything but constructive. You have to honestly size up what you have before you can begin to work with it.
Yes, I saw the manse. Forget the original owner's name, but it was his second home there. Built 1911, after the first manse (built 1890) burned. He was a Polish immigrant, banker, rancher there around Antonito. Also saw that crazy towered folk-art house. Or was it a church? ..... Our Lady of Mountainous Hubcaps, perhaps? That place actually might be a bigger draw than most would think. There is a serious appreciation for folk art out there.
No, Antonito may not be the all-time destination hot-spot, just yet, but it has not been bulldozed under for a freeway off ramp either! Lots of potential there, if the locals get behind it and pretty up their little slice of the pie. I can think of a lot of places I'd rather NOT be, than Antonito, and things will only get better with a some concerted effort.
