Here's a shot of an eastbound leaving Carbon Junction with an empty train headed to Chama. June 4, 1968. The day before the 478 ran to Farmington with the first loads of the year, returning with these empty box cars left at Carbon Junction for 498. June 5th would see 493 and 483 take a train over Cumbres pass to Alamosa, while 498 brought some loads back to Durango.
