Hi,
Local news on Maui have reported that the LK&P will shut down on August 1st. I rode it with my family back in 2002. The ride was alright, but they did not give any narration and only played Japanese music on the sound system. I was disappointed and my family didn't like the ride at all. The trestle and when the train looped around the maintenance facility near the pineapple fields were the only interesting parts of the ride.
