Clearly, Rich -
Roosso Loco's daughter and son-in-law are thrilled with their temporary acquisition, and Roosso is thrilled to have his theory that the D&RGW K-37's were born in Burnham wearing Moffat Green not just corroborated by researchers at the CRRM but now being popularized nationwide by a mainstream supplier of accurate educational toys. Nonetheless you are correct in pointing out that the forces of blackness, already reeling from Mike Spera'a article in CRRM's
Iron Horse News last year, will be incited to some kind of desparate counter-propaganda campaign, possibly involving an attempted boycott of the Lego 'Lone Ranger' histöric re-creation unless the kit is re-issued with (incorrect) black jackets (and red domes) on the locomotives.
IIRC, the 'Lone' Ranger was at once time a Texas Ranger before donning his mask and - "joined by his faithful Indian companion Tonto" - 'going rogue', so I expect Roosso's friends at the just-getting-organized 'Texas State Railroad (Museum?) Volunteers' to defend the Lego product and perhaps even purchase several of the histörically accurate green-jacket version of the kits, with the new TSRV logo applied to the tenders thereof
...
