There actually was a sawmill at Chromo as well as Edith. The branch up the Little Navajo was rather short. Actually Price was east of Chromo up the Navajo River valley. It was further east than a settlement called Howes Spring which was up the Navajo as well. Our property is on the north side of the valley about two miles east of Chromo and we actually have stumps on our land that were harvested by the RG&PS.We are about 275 feet higher in elevation and about a third of a mile from the river itself. The RR appears to have gone up the valley just south of the present County Road 382. I'm friends with the rancher who owns that land and she has told me that she'll show me exactly where it crossed her property.
