The "Ft. Garland & Parkview Toll Road" pretty much followed the present Forest Service road to Osier, then dropped down into Osier Creek, up the other side, across the track and over the hill. It then dropped down and crossed the RR again east of Cascade Creek, then followed the Los Pinos River and Cumbres Creek to the summit. The only place it crossed the Los Pinos was near Cumbres Creek.

If you dig out your copy of "Ticket to Toltec". The route is shown on the maps.
