Earl, it kinda made sense what all was said, and your last posting went to prove what i was finding out. All the crew caller postings from a certain day you posted, I was able to go through them and sort out what freights were sent to where from where, with what power, and make out a decent schedule from it all. Every few days when freights ran about every 10-12 hrs, it seemed to have a cycle to it where the bulk of the freights would run at night then swithch to day and back again. When they ran every 8 or so hours it always varied. Do you have the call book there for the winter of 50-51 or 51-52, whenever that big storm was that closed the line in january? It would be interesting to see what all the call times were and how often the standard gauge ran during thta time. All you ever hear about is the narrow gauge during that storm, but was the La Veta line shut down as well as the snow, or more the lack of freight, or did they always keep that open? John
