I should have named my original post Mike Trent bait, as I knew you wouldn't be able to resist it.
That would make sense that the Brown Roof was in 1954. I think I have found a 1955 shot of the cars and they had the Silver Roof back by then.
Looks like some paint crews got creative along the way. One of the Shots of 319 in the RRobb Volume Two shows it in Silverton Paint and someone "Detailed" the upper roof panel with a thin black strip along the edge of the upper roof panel. Almost makes we want to paint my 319 like that and travel around with that photo in my holster.
Yeah seems like 1960 or abouts was a year of physical change to the cars. Seems to be the time frame that the Vestibule Doors were taken off for good on the 312, 319, 323, 327 & 350 (The Alamosa) The water spouts were added by 1967 but I have not figured out a better time frame for that other than 1960-1967, I should nail that one down too.
We should be writing all this down somewhere
