Passenger Cars circa 1950-1955

Just an open ended question to start some conversation about the early Silverton Cars.
Seems that the first cars to get "Silvertonized" were the Open Platform Coaches, 280, 284, 306 & 320 well and Combine 212 too. (280 only lasted about a year before leaving the D&RGW to Boulder, CO for display) These were the early Version of the Silverton Paint the Two-Black Stripes running horizontally and Silver underbody and Silver trucks. The cars also had very small lettering across the Lettering Board or Fascia instead of the longer, wider Circus Style lettering found later. (Modeling note, any suppliers of this style of early lettering?) Baggage Car 126 was kept Green until the San Juan cars got repainted later on.
Now after the San Juan stopped running they added the (4) San Juan Closed Vest Coaches 312, 319, 323 & 327. The Parlor Car Alamosa also became part of the Silverton Train. But it appears that these cars kept the Green Paint and were mixed in with the Silverton Yellow cars from above.
Now when did they actually paint the San Juan Cars from Green to the Silverton Yellow? I have seen photos of the "Mixed Train" up to 1953, so I am assuming that they got painted Silverton for the 1954 season. Is that correct?
Now did they paint the original Two-Stripe cars to the One-Stripe scheme in 1954 when the San Juan Cars got the Silverton paint? This scheme has black underbodies and black trucks.
Now for some reason they repainted the roofs a year later to a brown or black for just one season and then back to silver the following year. This appears to be 1955? All I can think is why? (Actually it not that bad a paint scheme, the clestory windows were all painted yellow to match the car bodies)
But then a year later we got the Silverton Scheme that has basically been on the cars ever since.
Is this about right? Just want to make sure I have my history of the Silverton Paint Schemes correct.
Please feel free to jump and set me straight
