This spring the Heisler's boiler disassembly, cleaning, and UT work has been completed; work continues on the 720's traction motor/gearbox reassembly, and work is ongoing to return the 118 to service.
The car shop crew has installed a wheelchair lift in one of the open cars and serviced all the passenger fleet for operations this summer.
In our spare time we have been working on the track, replacing bad ties, leveling and tamping, switch improvements, and redistributing ballast by shovel.
Oh yes, the trains are now running their regular schedule which takes a lot of volunteer time!
That is why we have not been posting as much lately.
