In the films I have it started with scenes of 473 on a train looking very much like the "San Juan" out of Alamosa. There is a RPO, Baggage or two, and coaches, and on the end is more extra coaches and the Silver Vista glass are on the end.
Looking out the door at the train you think you are riding the San Juan, except they did 2-3 runbys. Later though they meet the other San Juan at Juanita.
The next day 463 pulls the mixed train to Silverton, with some freight cars, and open gon with people, then some green coaches, and a caboose on the rear. They did a runby on the High Line it appears.
The the footage jumps to RGS riding the train with 20, and later swapping engines with the 455. Later on there is a swap with another engine, which I assume was 20 again, but I don't think we see it clearly.
Caboose 0403 was with 20, and Caboose 0404 was with 455. The head end car was 127.
I would have thought this train originated in Durango, since they had some D&RGW coaches, and on the film it is right after the Silverton Mixed, but then film could be spliced out of order as well!!!
Those are all the hints I have until someone can ID the locations.
