Probably the same thing that Crazy Horse and what most of the Native American People felt, they wanted none of it. More trains meant more people from foreign countries taking more and more of their lands away from their freedom to roam and just live the way they had fore thousands of years. I am sure that it would have been an interesting clash, but if the US government wanted to go that route it may have happened.
