Twin Uintah Shays.........

I recently discovered that Uintah Railway Shay locomotives #2 & #3 were built to the same Lima plans. Uintah Ry. #2 (Oct. 1904) construction # 939 and Uintah Ry. #3 ( Apr. 1905) construction #1513 were both built to Lima Locomotives plan #889. It was these plan numbers that represented the whole of lots of smaller subdivision plans that made up a Shay. Several errors in my Uintah Railway Pictorial's, as far as identifing various Shay's will need to be rectified, as the process of getting a Uintah Roster together continues. Just thought this was an interesting fact for those of you who have been following this on going project.
