The hostler helper probably was M.M. Buchanan, who had a fireman's seniority date of 8-12-1946. He was off the roster by 1954.
Roy Buchanan was engineer on the Durango switch engine. Roy Buchanan did not have a son whose name began with the letter M so I am unsure of there was a relationship between the two.
