The full story with illustrations of the "Glenbrook" on the Carson & Tahoe Lumber & Fluming Company and the Lake Tahoe Ry & Transportation Co. is covered, including scale drawings in the new book: RAILS AROUND LAKE TAHOE. The Glenbrook was briefly renumbered #4 (for some strange reason)in the 1880s. All known pixs of her as #4 are also in the book.
The Glenbrook's identical sister "Tahoe", is also covered in many photos, including when she became Nevada County Narrow Gauge #5. Today the "Tahoe" is preserved in Nevada City, CA after many years of starring in Hollywood westerns. C&TL&F #3 (not Named), built from same plans, also ran on the LTRy&T, but was scrapped in 1926.
The NSRM staff has done another outstanding restoration.
