Ed lowrance of Pagosa Springs, Deb Williams of Chama, Tim Bristow, Charlie Irvin Of Chama, and Jay Wimer of Chama gathered in the yard at 10:00 this morning and slapped paint over the graffiti.
The Friends provided some of the paint.
More of the paint and stuff was donated by The Paint Connection in Pagosa, and Bill hastings at Chama River Lumber donated rollers and pans.
It took us about two hours to paint over the stuff.
I kept half a can of 'red brown' in case it's needed again.
Had a nice lunch at Foter's with Ed, Charlie, Tim and Deb.
For those who may not have see it, The Narrow Gauge Dead Goat Saloon has raised pledges of $350.00 in 'reward money' to be payed for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the 'artist(s)'
The Goat has also raised around $500 toward a christmas bonus for the shop crews.
Now, since ALL of the materials were donated, and since word on the street is the cops seem to know whodunnit, but are not likely to get him nailed, the reward money will probably go into the engine fund or the shop Christmas Bonus.
