Well, no wonder--one of those god-forsaken places we zip by on the drive to Denver. Get through Fairplay, after slowing down for their one stop light, then make the run to Jefferson and this place is just off to the left of US 285 and if one doesn't look quickly, the little burg might not even exist it flashes by so quickly. There is a Miehle flat bed letterpress sitting in the roundhouse, so it really deserves a stop. And maybe to see how the station restoration is progressing, and visit Dave Tomkins at the Como Hotel, and take a break from the breathing scenery found along this stretch of The Colorado Road.
