Here is a question that I have had for some time in the back of my mind. Where did the Pagosa train originate and or service? At the junction or back in Chama? I know there was a coal dock and track behind the station at the junction but I would think it would need more service than that. I am pretty sure that any pure freights would have originated at Chama. In the C-16 days they would probably also need a helper to get up over the hills.
