Mr. Whimer,
I do not need to put my money where my mouth is.
I have contributed a small amount to the fund, and I would contribute more if I had money to spare. The fact of the matter is that I volunteer my time to the NCNG museum and put in 10+ hours a week of work there in addition to help with funding and donation work. Not to mention my in progress work at creating an online database for the surviving narrow gauge equipment in the US. As of now any money to donate goes to my local museum FIRST.
The fact of the matter is I am not going to bust my hump or go to the poor house to send my money to a railroad that I do not live anywhere near, or plan to visit anytime soon. On top of that the more squabbling that goes on between the "fans" of the railroad the less I want to care. Frankly I am at the point where I don't care, that may be the wrong attitude but it is how I am starting to feel.
I may be the "owner" of Frads as you see it, and I know the folks there will put their money where their mouth is, I know many of them already have. However I told everyone involved to knock it off, frankly because its annoying and disruptive.
I wish you all luck on raising money for the railroad, but can we all please be civil and bite the bullet on how much everyone may dislike each other.
