Thanks for all the neat info on this car. What about the derrick in the photo? Has it been preserved? In the set of photos I notice one MOW box car marked "block car" and another "cable car". Was the "Block Car" for hardwood blocks for rerailing and other wooden blocking for cribbing as needed in wreck clean up? I assume "Cable Car" was assorted cable lenghts and chokers for dragging wheel sets and the like up to where a derrick could pick them up at a wreck site?
