Update on the 1250-1499 center dump gons:
"Equipment drawings - 6th;Rg17B;Sec16;Sf6;Box8;OVFF3
- Narrow Gauge Dump Cars 1250-1499 1166 C-146 June 12, 1903
(this one would probably be the best one for overall arrangement, whereas the others would be specific details) "
Nope, I thought this would be a comprehensive arrangement drawing of the 1250-1499 center dump cars, but it's just a drawing of something called a "deadwood" - 23" wide, 9" high and 6" deep. No indication as to context in relation to the rest of the car, or to what it may do.
"Equipment drawings - 6th;Rg17B;Sec16;Sf7;Box13;OVFF12
- Cast Iron Details, Narrow Gauge Dump Cars 1250-1499 1420 C-149 February 5, 1903 "
Includes details of the ratchet wheel, a (crank?) handle, and a bracket of some sort. Again, no context.
These were the only two drawings I bought sight unseen, a buck apiece was worth the gamble. Can't compare to the drawing Dave posted.
Still a pretty cool car.
