I can now post this "then and now photo" sequence as Brian Norden has used the original photo in the SPNG newsletter. This is a pre-June 1915 shot of SP #14 (ex sPC #18) double heading upgrade just above the Montgomery Pass tunnel. We searched for several hours last June to determine where this photo was taken. The photo was discovered in the Nevada Historical Society's Box family collection. This is the only photo currently known of #14 before it's wreck in June, 1915. The second engine appears to be the same class as the #14. The "Now" photo was taken on June 2, 2012. What a neat photo!
