Looks like conductor Willis made an addition error. The time from Volcano to Antonito would be more like 6 hours 50 minutes, rather than 9 hours 50 minutes.

The Cumbres train register shows that conductor Roberts was using caboose 04343, and conductor Moore was using 0503 during this time period.
