Nothing specific, but it was quite a surprise to see (parking lot of the Ouray Brewery 2 weeks ago). There were several people in the parking lot giving me the once over when I pulled in to look, so I didn't get out of my car to do a closer inspection. The rail was all beautifully nested together and steel banded in sets of maybe 20 rails each. I suspect it is relay rail, but it looked really nice and straight with new joint bar holes drilled through the rail ends. It may have something to do with the reopening of the Revenue Mine above the Camp Bird. Some Silverton guys are working on that effort. The only mill around is in Howardsville, and there is a small crew working in that mill daily now, so this rail may be intended for the Revenue. We could see active mining come back to the San Juans. There are also some rumors floating around that the Camp Bird may reopen. The Revenue was a significant silver producer.
