The June 1, 1913 seniority list has a ``F.K. Martonis'' at No. 6 on the First District of the Third Division. This was probably a mispelling or mistranscription of F.K. Martenis. He was No.6 in seniority behin C.S. Roney, W.D. Yates, H. Hyatt, W.S. Vail and R.S. Chinn. No seniority dates were but engineer Martenis was qualified for passenger train service. By checking seniorty dates of engineers around him on later lists, I determined that Frank Matenis probably started circa 1886.
He died in September, 1913. The illness probably came on quickly.
The list was from a J.D. Hutchinson donation to the Colorado Railroad Museum.
