... It's clear that the photo is of locomotive #487, and MB is simply trying to avoid a heated debate among foamers and t-q's as to whether this is #487 pre- or post- major servicing in the mid-fifties that resulted in the backward-slanting fireman's side
'Rio Grande' logo being applied to the engineer's side of her tender behind, and obviously has NOTHING to do with the long-festering D&RGW / C&TS lender tendering debate.
And in recognition of the recent compromise regarding the so-called Fiscal Cliff (or Curb), IMHO the tenders of all C&TS locomotives (except #463) should be lettered flying
'Rio Toltec' on the fireman's side and
'Cumbres & Grande' on the engineer's side for the 2013 season.
