Hi,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
There is a failed apartment complex site here in Dunwoody (suburban/exurban) that has been given the nick-name "PVC farm" since construction was stopped with only the PVC water pipes sticking about 18-24" out of the ground.
The city recently purchased the site and has been working with a developer to make it part apartments (?) and single family dwellings with a park in the middle.
I submitted the following two photos to the of the area and showed where the grade was and that the grade location was preserved with two existing property lines that are still based on the old grade. I mentioned that the grade seemed to be in the park area grade some sort of historical marker denoting the history of Dunwoody (small settlement founded by the Roswell Railroad).
The Mayor and the city's unofficial historian want to put up a historical marker and maybe a gravel trail.
Aerial photo of the area.
