Our museum has always had a "kids under 12 are free" policy for admission and this policy was exteneded to the demonstration rides of our motor car.
The effects of this marketing policy is hard to quantify, but you know it is working when you see a young family, and they come up to and say that their parents brought them to the museum - because it was a place where they could bring the kids for free.

We also have visitors buy memberships because of our policy.
