That was the paint job I put on 19 in the mid-1980's. After I did it, it was suggested that the BN was taking over the C&TS.

Actually the green was the then-current Sierra RR color. I added some black to offset too-much-greenness. All C&TS engines had tri-color heralds and aluminum lettering then, so that's where that came from.

I actually thought about doing a quasi-D&RGW style like it has now, but decided against it. Back then a lot of us were pretty much anti-D&RGW as they did their damnedest to scrap all of it and we figured we were just as much a railroad as they were.

Alas, it was only like that a few years before getting the current paintjob.
