No water tanks in Silverton ever to my knowledge. The D&RG had one several miles down the canyon from town, and I don't know the MP though the footers are still there, the Silverton Railroad had one in the vicinity of Burro Bridge, several miles out of town, the Silverton Northern had one at Eureka, and I'm not aware of any on the SG&N. Engines were serviced by hoses in the 2 engine houses, and today hoses from fire hydrants are used when necessary. See: [www.flickr.com]
