Jimmy,
You have 2 Chama Extra East runs on this day.
The first departing Chama at 6:05 AM engine's 486, 489 and 488.
488 and 489 Departing Cumbers light for Chama at 8:05 AM and 8:10 AM.
The 2nd Chama Extra East is shown with engines 489, 482 and 484 leaving Chama at 8:50 AM. Engine 489 shows the same engineer, Dodds as on the first Chama east extra.
My question is ther are only 45 minutes between time 489 left Cumbers light for Chama, and the time show for it leaving Chama for the 2nd Extra East. Is 45 minutes enough time for the engine to return from Cumbers to Chama, turn, take on water, coal and sand, and be ready for a 2nd trip up the hill?
The 2nd Cumbers extra east is shown arriving at Cumbers at 10:40 AM, but the train and 2 helpers to not depart until 10:50/10:55 PM. The train arrives in Alamosa at 3:30 AM. Should the departure times Chama arrival times be 8:50 PM and 10:40 AM? That would make more since.
Also engineer Dodds had quite a long day working 8:00 AM to 3:30 AM the next morning.
