First, this is not to start a flame war, it is just for information, but like most things on the narrow gauge don’t say “never”. In Jimmy’s posting for 1936 there were several work trains on the Chili Line on Sundays. Again, these were work trains. Jim McKee postings for 1933, there were several extras trains run on the Chili Line on Sunday (see January 29, 1933, February 12, 1933, and February 19, 1933). Jim McKee only did a little of the 1933 (winter months as he said) so it would be interesting to see more of 1933 or the 1920s to see if the “Never on Sunday” rule had more exceptions on the Chili Line. Of course, I would like to see any of the 1920s to see how the flow of traffic differed with 30s and 40s traffic.
