844 on the Joint Line (Video)

Hi all,

I just got back from a trip to the southern hemisphere. Here's my late contribution to UP 844 on the Joint Line:




Gothpapa, looks like we picked the same spot with the tree. The third clip in my video is from trackside at that location. I knew the tree would be backlit, but I wanted a pan shot at that spot anyway.

I recorded some relatively rare slips as 844 climbed upgrade between Colorado Springs and Palmer Lake. The last clip is one such instance, just after leaving Colorado Springs. A ballast train had passed a few moments earlier. Perhaps it had something to do with the slipping?
