844 on the Joint Line

Went out to see the 844 on the Joint Line today, kind of a rare treat. It was a beautiful sunny day. Took a few pictures, nothing great but I will share a couple anyway.
Somewhere south of Colorado Springs. I was captivated by that big tree still sporting its fall foliage this late in the season.
What I really wanted was a picture with Pikes Peak in the background. Turned out to be more of a challenge than I anticipated, but I finally got this at the north end of Colorado Springs near Woodmen Rd. The classic "rod down" was pure dumb luck.
