I agree that the full shot is WAY too wide - see my response to Jason, above.

Interesting idea, John -
But even though being able to watch progress on #483 might help raise funds for the project, I'd prefer donate my money - and sweat - directly to the 483 restoration rather than to a dedicated camera. OTOH, could a camera be mounted on one of those poles to the left of the gons in the foreground of the present south view to give a closer look at the north side of the engine house as well as #483?? But IIRC, most of the action - such as servicing and cleaning the engines - takes place on the south side of the engine house (see [
ngdiscussion.net]), so that would probably be a more interesting location.
