Got to love those NPS "Standards" for restoration for the most part except for the complete abatement of the lead paint. Lead Paint is original historic material and tells A LOT about the history and timeline of a artifact. A least on this locomotive you and your children can lick, taste and chew on the 278 without undesired long term lead poisoning affects.thumbs up
Was the cosmetic restoration of 278 photo and note documented and was it required by the NPS?
