Off the top of my head, Chloe dates from the 'teens. Ward Kimball had the engine restyled to resemble an 1880's era locomotive -- the boiler was raised, wooden cab built, etc. Then Ward and Jerry Best made up an 1880's era builder's plate copy with the number and date of a completely different locomotive.

The locomotive arrived from Hawaii with an extra order plate indicating the boiler dated from the 1930s -IIRC.

The phony builder's plate is no longer on the locomotive.

Some information can be found in Conde's Sugar Trains book. I may get a chance to get my copy off the shelf later is evening.
