Finding a new operator seems even more challenging now than before. The issue of whether the NFS can arbitrarily shut down the line must be resolved soon. Who would have the resolve and resources to take on the operation of the RR with such a sword hanging over their heads? Who can guarantee next year will be any different than this year? This is a fight worth fighting, especially since the RR does not run on Forest Service land.
