CTSRR Plans to Re-open July 16th

Posted on the CTSRR Community Information Center.
The Rio Grande railway preservation Corporation, operators of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, announced to the Forest Service today that we plan to resume operations on July 16th.
With our fire suppression measures and fire-fighting capability, there is no reason for the Forests to be re-opened to everyone else and not to the railroad.
Further,the financial condition of the railroad is becoming critical.
We cannot remain shut down indefinitely.
