Jeff,
FYI
Seems like everyone is refeathering the Geese. 5,4,& 3, are getting paint and lettering. We are leaving the old aluminum paint on 7, but are touching up the lettering. One of the big Geese needs to retain the patina and weathering. No.2 has new side glass and a headliner made from some older repop material as well as a resealed gas tank and a new lattice work deck on the box on the PA body. A new battery in No.6 and some tweaking on the fuel system. 6 & 7 have been converted to 12 volt systems years ago No. 2 retains it's original 6 volt system.
We had considered installing a nitros oxide system on #7, but we don't have enough parallel track to hold Goose races.
This looks like a great gathering and the Geese should look and perform their best.
You don't want to miss this once in a lifetime event. As an added attraction Locomotive 30, ex Colorado & Northwestern, Denver Boulder & Western, Colorado and Southern and lastly Rio Grande Southern No. 74. It's been restored cosmeticially and joins the other pieces of Rio Grande Southern equipment.
Newly appointed Gooseherder,(Goosemaster?)
