I think Frad is right about some engines just not looking as good as other. So with that in mine, I think I would have to go with the WP&Y 2-8-2 MacArther 190 class engines during W.W.ll.
They had those big square tenders, very low profile stacks and domes, and with the headlight in the middle of the smoke box I think she looks odd. Maybe thats why the WP&Y wants to restore the Loop engine instead of one of there own MacArthers?????(anyone know for sure??)
The strange thing here is that the one that are running out east at this time, look good. Its hard to believe what a few small changes will do for a engines looks.
