The snow gave Bennie Hindelang some throttle time. He had been on the railroad 26 years by this time. He was hired as a fireman on 10-24-1911 and promoted to engineer on 10-19-1918. He was No. 54 in seniority in 1937.
The Johnson could have been either John ``Jughead'' Johnson or J.W. Johnson. J.W. Johnson had seniority similar to Bennie Hindelang. Mr. Johnson was hired on 8-15-1914 and promoted on 10-20-1918.He was No, 59 in seniority.
Jughead Johnson was a Durango man who began railroading in 1906.
F.G. Larimer, helper engineer on the Cumbres Pass passenger trains. No. 19 on the old Fourth Division engineers' list, Mr. Larimer passed his student runs on 10-20-1905 and was promoted to engineer on 10-16-1909.
