AFE # 7939 (12-31-39) Construct and apply pilot plow and Priest flanger- 2 at $505.72 each on Locos 482 & 483.
AFE # T8021 (12-31-40) Construct and apply Priest Flangers- 5 at $161.69 each on Locos 481, 484, 486, 487, 489.

I have noted similar statements you previously posted i.e. Reported: "bad flange in cuts Osier to Cumbres nearly filling up on straight track, figure extra west get stuck."
So if # 477 had a Priest flanger (482 did not have one installed at this point in time reference: the AFE’s posted by John Templeton above) was it deployed? What was the procedure for when and where a pilot Priest flanger would be used?
