Although various gauges, can others on this list help add to this list of the very early Secnic Railroads? Most were under the transit or "interurban" railway category so were not under the ICC inspection or control. Please identify if known to be under the ICC inspection. Mt Penn Gravity RR, Reading, PA; Shay engines bought 3/1890 & 5/1890.
Youngsville & Sugar Grove RR in Warren County, PA.
Shohola Glenn Switchback RR, Pike Co., PA.
Mohnsville & Adamstown RR, ca: 1896 a PA steam interurban railway.
Mill Valley & Mt. Tamalpis Scenic Ry 3/1900 later Mt. Tamalpis & Muir Wood Ry, Mill Valley CA 3/1900
Little Cottonwood Transportation Co. Later Alta Scenic Ry. ca 1917.
Mt. Mitchell RR (Perley & Crockett L. Co.) ca: 1913-1918; Mt. Mitchell Scenic RR 1920-1921.
Saratoga, Mount McGregor & Lake George RR 7/1882 later Saratoga & Mt. McGregor Ry. ca: 1896.
Salt Lake & Fort Douglas, Utah, ca: 12/1887.
Also all Vertical Railroads never came under ICC.
Also all Cog Railroad never came under ICC.
