For the immediate future, the engine will retain its current C&NW (Colorado & Northwestern) lettering and number. The engine will remain painted as it is - except later this summer the vinyl lettering on the tender, cab, and domes (including pin striping) will be removed. The "30" number plate will be swapped for the "74" plate shown in the second photograph.
The boiler jacket, air pump jacket, and cab interior are all painted with the exact same paint the Colorado Railroad Museum uses to paint its green passenger cars, which the museum had paint matched to a chip of D&RGW "Pullman Green".
