Actually, we have been able to save the majority of the original material. Most sacrificial parts will be new, but most of the other stuff will be saved. We are taking care to save as much as we can. For instance, the side rods are ugly as homemade sin, but that is what she last ran with and I think they are worth preserving in operation even if she needs to be de-rated tonnage-wise. Normally we would replace the main driver that was cracked in the crank hub if this was a locomotive that was to see daily "normal" service, however those wheels belonged to #25, which is a story in itself. The list goes on.
