If the C&TS sues, I hope the damn FS get's their a** sued off. This is ridiculous, and is setting the C&TS back to maybe even before the days of GB! I get real sick of this crap from governmental agencies. Cut down a few freakin' trees, and maybe you won't have so many fires, and maybe, just maybe when doing a "controlled burn", wait until the winds die down! And, don't forget about the fire truck that follows the train, the water car that sprays the ROW, and of course, the speader that can follow it shortly behind.
The C&TS is losing way to much money, and getting bad publicity over this. But, if I'm not mistaken, doesn't the FS land start nhear Lobato? If so, is it economically feasable to run short trains out of Chama, and give some good walking tours of the yards besides?
