I've heard this idea from several people, but I think it's high time that we consider some kind of engineer for a day program, or something similar.
Now, I know you're all thinking about liability, and that's definetly a legitimate concern, but what if any participant was required to sign a waiver for any ridiculous lawsuits, etc? I recommend having one or two people keeping an eye on participants at all times of course.
Now, I fully understand that nothing can really stop stupid lawsuits, but I say that first we consider that lawsuits can happen at any time on the railroad. Some low-life could "trip" and break his leg just as easy on a coach as in an engine.
With a reasonable rate, I think that this idea could really help. Until the FS gets their act together, there has to be a way to draw money in.
