We just built a historical society display track with 15 feet of 25 Lbs per yard and used various spikes collected from 3' industrial railroad of the area. They used about 30# to 40# rail and the spikes are 4" to 4 1/2" inch from under head to the tip. Present price is about $1 each for what Keystone Spike Co. of Lebanon, PA sells under the name of "5" Mine Spike". No one in country makes 4" spikes any longer.
